Panhandle Kickoff/Orientation

Time: Choice of 3 Sessions: 9:00am, 11:00am and 1:30am

This event is open to all coaches, team members, helpers and parents. Each session will last approximately 1 1/2 hours and will include a review of all of the missions and field setup, scoring and research project requirements. We will also have a guest speaker talking on the research topic.

There is no charge, but registration is required so we can control the number of people attending each session. (Since this is a 90 minute program in an auditorium, it is not suitable for small children (under the age of 6) who can't sit quietly that long.) Please register for the estimated number of seats needed. We will confirm your registration and time assignment by email. (Those registering late may not get into the session they have selected.)

Coach Shirts: One coach for each registered team attending Kickoff in Melbourne will receive a grey Polo knit shirt (100% cotton Outer Banks) with a silk screened Florida FLL logo which is included with your team registration above. Additional coach shirts may be ordered for your assistant coaches/others at $20 per shirt (plus $3 for oversize shirts) for shirts picked up at Kickoff. For coaches not attending Kickoff, you may order shirts at the above cost plus $5.00 for shipping. Shirts must be ordered and paid by September 1. All sizes are adult men's sizes. Bring your team to Tempest N Tampa for an exciting day of Robotics fun. This a full weekend of FRC, FTC, VEX, and FLL action all in one place! On Saturday, we will offer FLL teams a place to work on their robots, conduct open practice on the Body Forward Table and the opportunity to take part in some helpful workshops. This is a great way to get your team energized for the upcoming season, meet and talk with other teams, discuss problems with veteran coaches and returning team members, and to get ideas if you are having trouble getting off the ground. Space is limited. Pre-registration is required. Cost is $20 per team.
