Florida FIRST LEGO League Kickoff

Saturday, Sept 12. Sessions at 9:00am,
11:00am and
1:30pm.
(Time may change slightly if we have to schedule a third session.)
Location: Clearlake Middle School,
1225 Clearlake Road, Cocoa, FL 32922
Directions: From I95, exit 201 (SR520) -- go east on 520 2.7
miles to Clearlake Rd (Stop Light)
Turn left on Clearlake, go approximately 1.5 miles. School is on your
left.
Instructions: You will register for your preferred session time. Based on availability, we will schedule teams to specific sessions one week prior to the event. You will be notified by email at the address you provide during registration for the event below. If we have more than 600 people registered to attend, we will shift the times slightly to add a third session. Late registrations will be assigned based on space available.
Activities:
At your scheduled time: (1hr 30 min)
-- Presentation by Laura Melnik on the missions, rules and research
presentation, including video demonstrations of the missions followed by Q&A
-- Presentation by on Transportation by a keynote speaker (TBD)
From 10:30am to 2:00pm -- Demo's and Displays:
-- a table with this year's field setup displayed so you can check what it's
supposed to look like
-- Book display of sample transportation related books and LEGO Robot books
-- Display of prior year research examples
-- Display of Robots with different construction techniques
-- Robot demonstrations and more
-- Refreshments for sale by the Clearlake FLL Teams
Bring your team and coaches! Parents invited. Please register for all anticipated attendees. You will select your preferred session.
Cost: There is no charge for this training event.
Coach shirts: One coach per team in
attendance will receive an FLL polo shirt if you register by Friday,
Sept 4. (Register for requested size.)
